Spring Summer 2014
A walk in the Park

The collection refers to and borrows freely from the romance and proportion of chintz printing, a technique from the 17th and 18th century which became a favorite dress making fabric in Europe and fueled the growth of the “chint” printing karkhanas of North India.

New embroidery techniques and a modern take on Chintz. Floral motifs interpreted for today’s urban Indian woman. Harmoniously chaotic patchwork prints, an exploration in juxtaposing solids with prints, embroidery with print, color blocking. Framework portrait embroideries.

Extensive use of red, cobalt blue and ecru. Handloom weaves with solid borders, chanderi, voile, khadi and silk.

An emphasis on the tunic dress and the tunic kurta. Double layered silhouettes. Salwar pants. Chintz print lycra jeans. Sleeveless gilets, saris and layered skirts.

Accessories for the show – Colour contrast leather footwear continuing the chintz theme Silver ear cuffs in leaf ivy with blue and coral highlights. (gold plated)

An overall lightweight breezy collection
